Avalon Asked: Does Blistex really work for acne?
I saw on a youtube video that people can use Blistex: Medicated lip balm in the blue tube for acne.
Is this true? Have you ever tried it or would you?
Lol don't put that on acne!! Are you crazy? It will clog your pores even more. It's a lip Balm. Unless its 100% comodegenic, don't even think about it
Like any medicated lip balms or products in general that contain ingredients such as camphor, these tend to assist on treating acne. However, in the long run, I would rather use a product that was formulated specifically for the face than something that was made for lips. The formulation varies in concentration.
This is often with a lot of products.
Ex: a body/hand lotion probably shouldn't be used on your face. The differing concentration of the ingredients may clog your pores or break you out. Something that is specifically formulated for your face (cheeks, forehead) will tend to have better results.
NOTE: everyone reacts differently. So if your skin isn't sensitive at all, or you are not too prone to acne, your skin may be more resistant.
